Air Force Member Dies After Setting Himself Ablaze Outside Israeli Embassy

Vigil Held for Aaron Bushnell

An active-duty member of the US Air Force who set himself on fire outside the Israeli Embassy in Washington DC on Sunday has died, authorities said.

Aaron Bushnell, of San Antonio, Texas, died of his injuries on Monday. A vigil was held for Bushnell outside the Israeli embassy in DC on Monday.

Protest Motive Unclear

The motive for Bushnell's self-immolation is unclear. Authorities are investigating the incident.

Bushnell was a member of the United States Air Force. He had served in the military for eight years.
