Toronto Raptors Sign Jalen McDaniels to Two-Year Contract
$9.3 Million Deal Includes $9.25 Million Guaranteed
McDaniels Averages $4.63 Million Annually
The Toronto Raptors have signed forward Jalen McDaniels to a two-year, $9.3 million contract, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. The deal includes $9.25 million in guaranteed money and an average annual salary of $4.63 million.
McDaniels, 25, spent the first four seasons of his career with the Charlotte Hornets. He averaged 8.2 points and 6.3 rebounds per game last season, while shooting 47.2% from the field and 31.4% from three-point range.
The Raptors are hoping McDaniels can provide them with some much-needed depth at the forward position. He is a versatile defender who can play multiple positions, and he is also a capable scorer.
