Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth to Star in 'Mad Max' Prequel 'Furiosa'

Subheading: The upcoming film, set for release in May 2024, will explore the origins of the popular "Mad Max" character.

Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures have released the second trailer for George Miller's "Furiosa," the post-apocalyptic prequel to "Mad Max: Fury Road." The film stars Anya Taylor-Joy as Furiosa, a renegade warrior whose origins will be explored in the upcoming installment.

Joining Taylor-Joy in the cast are Chris Hemsworth as Dementus, Tom Burke as Doctor, and Alyla Browne as Splendid. Miller, who directed the original "Mad Max" trilogy as well as "Fury Road," is also producing the prequel alongside Oscar-nominated producer Doug Mitchell.

The film, which has been in development for several years, is set to race into theaters on May 24, 2024. It will be released in IMAX, offering audiences an immersive cinematic experience.
